FORWARD VISION
A NEW THING
FOR TOMORROW
“Behold, I will do a new thing…” (Is. 43:19).
As a word, “future” stems from the base meanings “grow” and “become.” Doing comes from being: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it” (Pr. 4:23). Character determines personal and societal future.
Vision comes from the heart and is built upon the foundation of those who have gone before us. If we have no North Star to give us bearings, we will drift endlessly and never arrive at our destination.
Whether it is ISIS obliterating ancient artifacts, or vandals tearing down monuments to great Americans, tyranny is a thief that seeks to detach us from our roots and give us new identities in its gulag of serfdom.
We believe innovation for tomorrow happens best when we have the skills to think for ourselves and learn from past mistakes and successes. In essence, innovation is renewal. It is something new anchored in something old. If we can’t see our past, we will not know who we are, where we have come from, or what new heights we should reach for.
Whether you’re studying from home, abroad, or in conjunction with one of our creative community models, HU courses will challenge your mind and deepen your faith. You’ll make great friends and tap into a network of likeminded professionals, ministers, and missionaries while needful skills are developed through academic rigor and real-world experience.
